Robert Dean Sevey (Bob), 87, longtime Cosmopolis resident and former Administrator at Aberdeen and Cosmopolis School Districts, passed away on the morning of May 8, 2020 at his home.

Robert Dean Sevey (Bob), 87, longtime Cosmopolis resident and former Administrator at Aberdeen and Cosmopolis School Districts, passed away on the morning of May 8, 2020 at his home.

Bob was born on Aug. 17, 1932 in Tacoma, Washington to George and Helen (Martinson) Sevey. He grew up in Puyallup and Lake Quinault, graduating from Lake Quinault High School in 1950. He graduated from San Diego State College with a BA in education and an MA in School Administration. Bob worked in schools in Oceanside, California, Aberdeen and Cosmopolis Washington for 35 years.

Bob joined the U.S. Marine Corps in August of 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1956.

On Aug. 21, 1954, Bob married his true love, Jeannine R. Olson, at her parents home at Lake Quinault. She passed away on Feb. 19, 2010 in California. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, Elks Lodge in Hoquiam and a 50 year member of the Cosmopolis Lions Club.

Bob enjoyed traveling with his wife for many years down south. The biggest joy in his life was his family. He enjoyed spending many hours with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeri Sweatman (Tom) of Cosmopolis and his son, Christopher Sevey (Shawn) of Fort Lauderdale; six grandchildren: Christi Davis, Caylee LeCompte (Spencer), Cory Sweatman (Kaleya), Shad Robert, Jace Sevey and Catherine Sevey; three great-grandsons: Carter Sweatman (Cory), Treycen and Parker LeCompte (Caylee) and three sisters: Patricia Black of Hoquiam, Mary Frazier of Westport and Louise Thomas of Florida.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents George and Helen Sevey and sister Laura Lackey all of Aberdeen.

At this time there will be no services.

Bob suggested that donations be made to Cosmopolis Lions Scholarship Fund.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
