Richard Edward Cameron passed away on Dec. 16, 2022.

He went peacefully in his sleep surrounded by loved ones and music.

He was born in Seattle, Washington to Robert Beardsley and Gloria Sweazy on Aug. 15, 1953. As a small child Richard was adopted by his aunt and her husband at the time. He spent several happy years in New Orleans and California before deciding Ocean Shores was home.

Richard was most recently part of a band called Two Buoys and a Gull with Bill and Gladys. Richard had a love for playing music and was in several local bands throughout the years. He played music with many local legends. When he was not playing music, he worked as an amazing cook. He worked at Mariah’s Restaurant for 20 years as well as some other local places. On nice days you could find Richard at the beach, doing what he loved, beachcombing and finding beautiful agates.

Richard is survived by his daughters Patty Goodman-Monk of Montesano, Washington; Tricia Moon, Rachael Cameron-Jacobsen of Ocean Shores and Sarah Ann Cameron of Vancouver; son Richard Cameron of New York; brothers James Beardsley and David Huff; and sisters Gloria Raphael, Francesca Kaizer and Angela Schatz.

Richard had a plethora of grandchildren that he loved so much. He was dad/grandpa to many kids in his lifetime.

Richard was an all-around kindhearted man who loved everyone and lived life on beach time.
