Raymond German passed away Feb. 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and treasured memories. Born in Susanville, California, Ray graduated from Lassen Union High in 1958. He married the love of his life, Ann McDaniel, on Sept. 23, 1960, in Reno, Nevada. In their 65 years of marriage, Ray and Ann built a life filled with adventures, laughter, and loving family.

Ray and Ann moved to Grays Harbor in November 1993, after previously residing in Redding, California. He worked at Shaben & Westling in Elma, Washington, from 1994 until his retirement in 2009. He enjoyed camping, fishing, helping his wife with gardening and flower beds, tinkering in his workshop, and watching football, hockey, and baseball. In his later years, Ray could often be found riding around on his red scooter with his canine best friend, Little Bit, in the basket.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Ann German, and their children: Annarae and Don Williams, Wanda and Kevin Holden, Keith and Judy German, and Joseph and Shannon German. He is also survived by his sisters Silvia Dill, Patricia Watkins, and Barbara Rignell. Ray leaves behind eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Mildred German and two brothers, Loren and Gary German.
