Randall Owen Manley

Randall Owen Manley, 74, of Hoquiam, died surrounded by family on June 8, 2021, at Summit Pacific Medical Center due to complications from Glioblastoma. He was born on May 27, 1947, in Nevada City, California to Delbert Jay Manley and Wilma Victoria Osborne.

Randy attended Oakland High School in Oakland, Oregon and graduated in 1965. After high school he worked for a BLM survey crew throughout Oregon. He was then drafted into the Army in 1968 where he served an 18-month tour during the Vietnam War. Upon his return he enrolled at Portland Community College. After two years he transferred to Lewis and Clark College where he graduated in 1973 with his teaching degree. He spent 20 years of his career teaching various grades throughout the Hoquiam School District. He was a dedicated coach and an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.

In 1970 he met and married Carol (Krekow) who survives him at the family home in Hoquiam. Randy was blessed with five children: Bonnie (Pat) Heidal of Seattle, Tammy England of Bend, Oregon; Carla (Kurt) Estes of Hoquiam, Joe (Shari) Manley of Hoquiam and Elizabeth (Aaron) Johnson of Puyallup. He was a loving grandpa to 14 grandchildren, one great-grandson and a great-granddaughter on the way. He will be dearly missed by Shaela, Emma, Jack, Mike, Logan, Ben, Austin, Cole, Chloe, Ainsley, Nick, Sage, Rosie, Elle, Kolbe and Owen Christine.

Randy is survived by three brothers and two sisters: Kernan (Nuk) Manley of Arlington, Washington; Delbert (Donna) Manley of Hubbard, Oregon; Steve Corbin of Sutherlin, Oregon; Shawnelle Goodman of Corvallis, Oregon; and Toyia Goodman of Portland, Oregon as well as several nieces and nephews.

His father Delbert, his mother Wilma, his stepfather, Harold “Dee” Corbin of Goldendale, Washington and brother Joe (Linda) Corbin of Oakland, Oregon preceded him in death.

We will have an internment service for Randy at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Hoquiam on June 18, 2021, at 10 a.m. Immediately following the service there will be a celebration of life at the Manley family beach cabin, 4257 Dexter Drive in Tokeland.

Funeral arrangements have been made through Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam, Washington.
