Phyllis E. Caffall

On Sept. 9, 2018, Phyllis Earlene Caffall passed away at her family home, where she had lived for over 50 years.

On Sept. 9, 2018, Phyllis Earlene Caffall passed away at her family home, where she had lived for over 50 years.

She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1961. She spent one year attending Grays Harbor Community College.

Phyllis was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Gene and both her parents, Larry and Paulene Nulf. She is survived by her sister, Nancy West of Aberdeen and her brother, Carl (Linda) Nulf of Arco, Idaho. Two daughters, Danna Caffall of Aberdeen and Paula (Scott) Lackey of Aberdeen and one son, Clark (Cheree) Caffall of Elma. Phyllis had six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving Phyllis is her life long friend and caregiver, Charles West of Aberdeen.

Phyllis served her country in the U.S. Army for a time and when discharged she was a P.F.C. E-3. After leaving the military, she met Gene and they were married Feb. 12, 1966. Together Phyllis and Gene raised their family and the children from Gene’s previous marriage.

Most of Phyllis’s life she was a stay at home mom and housewife. She did do some secretarial work for a short time. She spent nearly four years driving for the local medical transport company, Far West.

Phyllis loved to crochet, quilt and research genealogy. Most of the family members have something that Phyllis made by hand. She loved to research her relatives, where they came from and their families. Family was very important to Phyllis.

There will be no formal service as requested by Phyllis. If folks want to donate in memory of Phyllis, please give to H.A.V.A. or Grays Harbor PAWS. That would be greatly appreciated.
