Pentti Koski passed away peacefully on April 6, 2018, with his wife Lena of 64 years by his side.

Pentti Koski passed away peacefully on April 6, 2018, with his wife Lena of 64 years by his side. Pentti was born May 14, 1932, in Finland the son of Eino and Saimi Koski and was one of 10 children.

Pentti and Lena emigrated to Raymond, Wash. where Pentti worked for Weyerhaeuser and ITT Rayonier.

A couple of years later they moved their young family to Aberdeen and enjoyed being part of the large Finnish community there making many lifelong friendships. Pentti was a longtime business owner in Aberdeen. In the 70s he launched Harbor Machine and Fabricating and was later joined by his younger brother Mikko Koski and his son John Koski who still runs the business today.

Pentti was a kind, loving husband, brother, father of two, grandfather of five and great-grandfather of eight who was known for his strong work ethic, love of golf and wonderful sense of humor.

Pentti is survived by his wife Lena whom he met at a dance as teenagers. Pentti and Lena enjoyed a lifelong love of dancing and travel.

Pentti is also survived by two children, John (Vanessa) Koski and their four children, Nikolas Koski, Tiana Valentine, Mikel Koski, Mathew Koski, their spouses and eight grandchildren Nina (Skip) Koski-Matlock of Bellevue, Wash. and their son Spencer also of Bellevue.

Private family services were held in Issaquah.
