Peggy Ann (Hamilton) Rockholt, 72, passed away in Bakersfield, California on Nov. 9, 2024.
Peggy was born on May 16, 1952, to Vaughn Hamilton Sr. and Helen (Nielsen) Hamilton in Aberdeen, Washington.
During high school Peggy worked at the Hamilton-family-owned business “The Zany Zebra Zip Inn” in Pacific Beach. After high school she worked at the Nordic Inn in Aberdeen as the banquet manager.
Upon moving to California she worked as a manager for Denny’s restaurant until she retired as a stay-at-home mom.
Peggy loved animals and usually had a menagerie of animals at her home. She enjoyed bowling and participated in many leagues. She was an avid Dodgers fan.
Peggy married Jeffrey Rockholt in Bakersfield, California on April 24, 1984.
Peggy leaves behind her husband Jeffrey and daughter Lareesa Rockholt of the family home.
Peggy’s family cannot thank her husband Jeffrey enough for his love and care during her illness.
Immediate family members who also survive Peggy: sister Kay (Kirk) Sund of Hoquiam, brother Vaughn Hamilton Jr. (Susan) of Middleton of Idaho, sister Debbie Hamilton of Spanaway, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Peggy was preceded in death by her daughter Rachelle Devenoe, parents Vaughn and Helen Hamilton, grandparents Stanton and Blanche Hamilton and grandparents Ralph and Edith Running.
A memorial will be held in Bakersfield, California at a later date.
