Paul Clifford Shelton, 70, passed away on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Private family services have been held.
Paul was born on June 4, 1952, in Pomona, California to William and Martha Shelton. He grew up and attended schools in the Los Angeles area. He served his country in the United States Army as a combat engineer and was stationed in Germany.
Paul married Susan Abbey in 1978 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He worked in the logging industry near Libby, Montana. In 1989, he moved to Hoquiam, Washington. Susan passed away in 1991.
Paul later married Pam Barnacastle on May 23, 1994, in Hoquiam. She passed away in April of 2022, and Paul moved to Sandpoint to be closer to family.
He enjoyed fishing and working on small engines. He is survived by his children William (Allison) Shelton of Ponderay, Idaho, Kristy (Don) Cowden of Milton Freewater, Oregon, Lewis (Jamie) Bumstead of Hoquiam, Washington and Kelly Sue (Tanner) Bell of Athol, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Bill Shelton of Coos Bay, Oregon; and sister Susan Probst of Seattle, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Pamela Shelton.
