Patricia Doyle Nelson, 102, died Jan, 22, 2020, at Elma Washington. Born June 22, 1917 to Ethel (Howard) and James Doyle, she graduated from Weatherwax High and Grays Harbor College and retired from Rayonier. She volunteered with RSVP, Chore and Chehalis Valley Museum. She lived in Wynooche Valley, creating and caring for a five-acre wildlife refuge. She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Tice Sr. and Vern Nelson; and son Robert Jr.; also sisters Virginia Doyle, Meda Lykes, June Brumfield, Betty Sands and Ethel Mathis. She is survived by son Patrick (Mike) and his wife Virginia of Belfair; brothers, James Doyle of Reno, Nevada, and Larry Doyle of Aberdeen and her extended family.

At her request, no services will be held. Memorial donations are suggested to the James and Ethel Doyle scholarship at Grays Harbor College or Chehalis Valley Museum, Montesano.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
