Pamela Jo (Tweedie) Sears, age 58, passed away quietly at home on Sept. 9, 2001.

Pamela Jo (Tweedie) Sears, age 58, passed away quietly at home on Sept. 9, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born April 17, 1963, in Aberdeen to Roy and Jean Tweedie, was raised in Grayland and grew up attending Twin Harbor Lutheran Church.

Pam graduated from Ocosta High School in 1981.

In 1982, Pam moved to Yosemite National park in Central California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains and worked there for five years. She met her former husband and returned to Grayland. Her daughter, Kristina Jean was born in 1988.

Pam worked for the Sea Star Restaurant in Grayland and remained there for the next 16 years. In 1993, to further her education she attended Grays Harbor College. Juggling her daughter, job and school, she graduated with three associates degrees in 2006.

In 2008, she married Douglas Sears and moved to Dryden, Washington. She worked at Cascade Medical Center in Leavenworth as a medical biller until March of this year.

Pam was a member of the Dryden Community Church, where she was highly active. She will be remembered for how she could light up a room with her smile and grace when she walked in.

Pam is survived by her husband Douglas of Cashmere, Washington; daughter Kristina of Aberdeen, Washington; mother Jean of Aberdeen, sister Linda Tisdale of Hoquiam, brother Dale of Aberdeen, three grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Roy Tweedie.

A memorial service was held Oct. 2, at the Dryden Community Church in Dryden, Washington with Rev. Steven L. Bergland officiating.
