After a 22-year courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer (bone), Pamela passed away peacefully on Aug. 25, 2020, at the age of 69. Pamela was born Jan. 8, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, to George and Charlotte (June) Burck.

She attended school there, and then enrolled at American University and obtained a master’s degree in computer technology. She then worked for General Electric for a few years before moving on to Houston, Texas, to work for Stewart Title Co.

In about 1988 she moved to Seattle and worked as an office manager for Pacific Rim Import Corp., where she met her future husband in Aug. 1992, and married Robert (Bob) Alrick on Sept. 9, 1995, at Silver Falls State Park in Silverton, Oregon. It was a beautiful sunny day for an outdoor wedding.

They purchased a home in Renton, Washington, and both worked until February 1999, when they both retired on the same day! This allowed time for many RV trips and visits with parents and relatives.

In June 2005 they moved to a newer home in Montesano, Washington, and currently reside there.

Pamela loved to travel and did many solo trips around the world before she met Bob.

In 2011 they took a two-week trip to Switzerland and rode all the different trains all over the country. In 2015 they took a two-month RV trip to Alaska.

After Pamela moved to Seattle she joined the Boeing Ski-Bac group and began to cross-country ski and took many trips with them over the years. She loved to cook and was always trying some new recipe. She took sewing and knitting to a higher level and could create some beautiful apparel which won blue ribbons at the county fair. Pamela also enjoyed gardening and was a member of Master Gardeners for many years. She also belonged to the Fiber Arts Guild in Elma, Washington. She loved to read and was a member of the Montesano Friends of the Library for many years.

Pamela is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Alrick; brother Lamont T. Burck of Baltimore, Maryland; and loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her positive attitude and the smile that always “lit up the room” will be greatly missed by her soulmates Bob and Leo the cat, and anyone who knew her.

There will be no service per her request and Covid-19.

Cremation arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary in Aberdeen, Washington. (www.harrison familymortuary.com)
