Olga Hindman, 97, longtime Aberdeen resident and former office manager at Crown Distributing in Aberdeen, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016 at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam, Wash.

Olga Hindman, 97, longtime Aberdeen resident and former office manager at Crown Distributing in Aberdeen, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016 at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam, Wash.

Olga was born on July 21, 1919 in Roslyn, Wash. to Frank and Elizabeth (Randich) Lesich. Her family moved to Aberdeen when she was a teenager and she graduated from Weatherwax High School.

She married Carl Stump in 1938. After his passing, she married John Parr, they later divorced.

In 1991, Olga married Russell Hindman in Aberdeen. They built a home in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. and lived there every year. He passed away on Jan. 18, 2009.

Olga was the office manager at Crown Distributing for many years, retiring 1984. She had also been the office manager at General Tire before that. A bookkeeper for Stickney, Preszler & Larner Accountants. She was the Secretary for the Principle at McDermoth Elementary.

She was a member of the Aberdeen Eagles Auxiliary and the Aberdeen Elks Auxiliary. She traveled to Africa, Egypt and her home country of Yugoslavia. She also went on cruises to the Caribbean and several ports in Mexico.

Olga is survived by a daughter, Carol (David) Anderson of Renton, Wash. and a granddaughter, Charmaine (Rod) Wood-Smith of Las Vegas, Nev.; four nieces: Joan VanSteenkiste, Delores (Dode) Jenkins, Betty Kersh and Evelyn Cowan and a nephew Frank Kersh. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Lesich and four sisters: Julie VanRooy, Ann Kersh, Mary Kay and Edna Lund.

There will be a time of visitation and viewing on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 from 1-8 p.m. in Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Fern Hill Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Fern Hill Cemetery. A reception will take place at the Aberdeen Eagles Hall at 1 p.m.
