Norman L. Adams, longtime resident of Lake Quinault, died of cancer on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020.

Norman L. Adams, a resident of Aberdeen and longtime resident of Lake Quinault, died of cancer on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020. Norm was born on March 26, 1945, in Tilden, Nebraska. He moved with his family to Bellingham at the age of 4. He later moved to Lake Quinault in 1964 and worked in the logging industry until a serious logging accident took from him his ability to continue.

Norm had been a member of the Lake Quinault Lions from 1990 until moving to Aberdeen in 2008. He joined the Central Park Lions club and served in nearly every position, both in a club level and zone level.

He had enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, hunting, fishing and wood working. He had been a member of Capitol Volksport walking group. He had completed a 10K hike in each of the 50 states. Norm had also been a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Aberdeen.

He is survived by Mert Turner, companion of over 10 years; children: Nikki Graham, Shelly Todd (Tim), Blaine Adams (KleeAnn Lowdermilk), Melonie Adams, Doria Adams (Victor Guzman), Victor Adams (Gina), Zeb Adams, Matt Adams (Danielle), Shawnna Boer (Nico) and Donica Kugler (Elliott); and siblings, Larry Adams (Brendalee), Wayne Adams, Vickie Adams, Mary Jane Adams and Carl Adams (Debbie). He was preceded in death by brothers, Mark and Jerry Adams.

A family memorial service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at 2 p.m.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
