With great sadness, we announce the passing of Nancy Jane (Brumfield) Anderson. Nancy was born on May 14, 1945, to Alice Elizabeth (Johnson) Brumfield and Emery William Brumfield. Nancy passed away on Feb. 7, 2025, age 79. We will miss her dearly.

Nancy grew up in Montesano, a cheerleader and song queen with her best friend Jeannie Hovila, before graduating Montesano High School.

Nancy married Larry Anderson on March 13, 1964. Their two children, Alan (Colleen) and Brett (Kristina), meant everything to her. The time spent with her grandchildren, Max, Emma, Soren, Danny, and Cache, was her greatest joy.

Nancy loved a cold Coke, shopping at Nordstrom, gardening, clam digging, dancing, her family, and the beloved friends of Alan and Brett who spent so much time in her home. She cared for her parents at the ends of their lives.

She is survived by her brother Roger (Linda) Brumfield, nieces Tammy (Alan) Granberg and Terri (Kyle) Besaw, cousins Dave (Renata) Bowen and Bobbi Brumfield, and her own children and grandchildren.

Nancy’s celebration of life will be held at the Montesano Community Center on April 12, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m.
