Nanci Blanchard passed away on May 30, 2022. She was born on Dec. 11, 1936, to Orville McKinzie and Sylvia Duval in Los Angeles, California. She was raised in Portland, Oregon, and Winlock, Washington, and graduated from Winlock High School.

On Oct. 24, 1968, Nanci married Robert Blanchard Sr. They were married for 53 years.

Nanci worked for Century 21 and then in local restaurants for many years. She was a charter member of the Montesano Women of the Moose, Senior Regent, as well as a member of the pinochle club. She enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, and making handmade cards.

Nanci is survived by her husband Robert; daughters Jane Wright of Montesano, Washington and Joni (Jeff) Baker of Aberdeen, Washington; stepdaughters Joy and Joyce (Tommy) of Seattle, Washington; stepsons Richard (Jackie) Blanchard of Hoquiam, and Robert (Jana) Blanchard Jr. of Aberdeen; brothers Vernon McKinzie of Montesano, Jack Halloway of Salem, Oregon, and Paul Bennett; sisters Carol Lynoais and Randi Hyler of Gresham, Oregon, and Dorothy Cudd of San Jacinto, California; grandchildren Dustin and Corrie Wright, Brandi Smith, and Tiffany Storla; seven great-grandchildren and several stepgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by both her parents and her siblings Patti Ann and Gordon.

A memorial will be held at the Montesano Moose on Aug. 27, 2022, at 11 o’clock.
