The family of Michael Brado wishes to share the news of his unexpected passing on March 1. 2022. Born and raised in Aberdeen, Michael was a 1977 graduate of Weatherwax High School where he enjoyed wrestling and football.

He attended Grays Harbor Community College and graduated in 1982 with a degree in computer science from Washington State University. While at WSU, Michael was a member of the Phi Alpha Kappa Fraternity. In college, Michael learned to play rugby and became a lifelong advocate of “The Game.”

After college, Michael moved to San Jose where he worked in the computer industry for a number of high-tech firms and start-ups. While in California, he continued to played rugby with the San Jose Seahawks and went on tour with them to Australia and New Zealand in 1986 and 2006.

Despite living in Silicon Valley, Michael never lost his love of the outdoors and continued to hunt and fish throughout his life.

After retirement, Michael moved to Olympia with his fiance, Maureen Murphy. He is also survived by his sister Daneal (Brado) Bochenek, aunt Buddie Michels, niece Lauren Byrd and nephew Mathew Bochenek. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the Rotary Log Cabin Pavilion in Aberdeen on May 22, 2022 from 1 to 4 p.m. Please RSVP to Maureen Murphy at 408-887-0232.
