Mary Jurasin Brennan-Schaff, 94, of Walla Walla, Wash. has gone home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Mary Jurasin Brennan-Schaff, 94, of Walla Walla, Wash. has gone home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Mary was born in Aberdeen, Wash. to Hattie and Bob Jurasin, in 1924. She attended Aberdeen Washington Public School system and her family were members of the Zrinski-Francopan Croation order of South Aberdeen. Her brother, Phillip T. Jurasin passed away in 1985 in Aberdeen.

Mary met Jack C. Brennan, of Spokane, while he was stationed in Westport, Wash., with the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. Jack and Mary owned and operated “Brennan’s Cleaners,” in downtown Aberdeen from 1947-1972 when they moved to the Spokane area to retire.

After Jack passed away, Mary remarried in 1999 to Valentine Schaff, of Walla Wall. She has been living in the Walla Walla area ever since.

Mary is survived by her three sons, Jack R. Brennan, Curtis J. Brennan, David R. Brennan and their spouses; niece Laura Jurasin-Gunderson of Phoenix, Ariz.; nephew Phil Jr. Jurasin of Cosmopolis, Wash. and their spouses; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren of Oregon and Washington.

A visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St., Spokane, WA. A celebration of life will be Monday, Dec. 10, at 3 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 595 Abbott Rd, Walla Walla. A private interment will take place at Riverside Memorial Park, Spokane.
