On a beautiful fall day of Oct. 20, 2020, surrounded by family and loved ones, Martina Lynn Peterson made the journey to meet our lord and savior.
Martina made her grand entrance on this physical earth in Puyallup on Oct. 9, 1962. She was born on the same day as her twin siblings,Tammy and Danny, only two years later.
She grew up all over the United States eventually settling in Tucson, Arizona where she worked for EVS at an emergency room. When in need of a change, Martina made her way back to Aberdeen, Washington where she met the love of her life Carl Peterson.
On March 8, 2013, Carl and Martina married at the Justice of Peace. They purchased their cleaning business CJ Cleaning Extraordinaire and made a house a home.
Martina’s greatest treasures were her children, she thought highly of them and was very proud of all their accomplishments.
Martina’s hobbies included ceramics, reading, puzzles, raising her fur babies and glamping. She loved when her friends and family would visit especially with their younger children.
There wasn’t an event she didn’t show up for that she was invited to.
Martina is survived by her husband Carl Peterson of Aberdeen; sister Tammy (Butch) Ogle of Longview; brother Danny Erb of North Fork, Virginia; son Steven Celaya of Tucson, Arizona; daughter Nicole of Tucson, Arizona; step-son Matt Peterson of Vancouver, Washington; step-daughter Angie Reed of Seattle, Washington; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, all whom she cherished and loved very much.
She is preceded in death by her mother Annabelle Sutphin and father Hershael Orum.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
Our deepest gratitude to Glenda Jasper, Linda Jones, and Butch and Tammy Ogle for your all your generosity and for taking her to her appointments. A special thanks to the Cancer Clinic of Grays Harbor and for her oncology nurse Leah for her inspiration and hope. Also, a thank you to Harbors Home Health and Hospice for allowing us to love on her at home and allowing her entire family to say goodbye. Thank you to all of our family and friends who helped us through our journey. We couldn’t have done it without you. She is in God’s arms now but she will always be in our hearts. She will be forever missed. We love you, Martina.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home, Aberdeen, Washington.
