Lifelong Aberdeen resident Marlene Ann Schoening passed away on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Grays Harbor Health and Rehab. She was 80. Marlene was born on March 7, 1937, to Eugene and La Voune Muhlhauser in Seattle, Wash.
On May 6, 1955, Marlene married the love of her life Neal Schoening in Aberdeen, Wash. They enjoyed many years of marriage before his passing in 2014.
Marlene loved to knit and do puzzles. When she was younger, her most cherished memories were the ones she spent camping with family.
Marlene is survived by her children Debra (Mike) Carson, Tammies Jacobs, and Larry Schoening; siblings Fritz Muhlhauser, Larry Muhlhauser, Mary (Sonny) Johnson, Jenny (Mike) Cochran, JoAnn (Les) Anders, and Cindy Clemets; grandchildren Justin (Shannon) Carson, Shaun (Marki) Carson, Tiffany Jacobs (Ryan Jones), Torie Jacobs, Ryan Schoening, and Erica Schoening; great-grandchildren Kael, Maya, and Harlow Carson, Maysinn and Adasia Jones, Ashleigh and Annica Nations, Keyenna and Keegan Schoening; ex son-in-law Steve Jacobs; and close family friend Julie Charlton. Marlene was preceded in death by her husband Neal, parents, two brothers and two sisters.
