Marion Knott died on Aug. 15, 2017, at Pacific Care in Hoquiam after a brief illness.
Marion was born on Nov. 1, 1928, in Hoquiam, Wash., to Sigrid A. (Livendohl) and Arthur E. Hazelquist. She attended the Newton School at Copalis Crossing and Hoquiam High School.
She met Wally Knott when he returned to Aberdeen after World War II and they were married April 5, 1946. They were best friends and partners for the next 65 years until Wally’s death in 2012.
Marion and Wally were snow birds, traveling to Arizona for many winters and enjoying the company of many friends.
They lived in South Aberdeen at Leisure Manor where they took part in an active social life in the park.
Marion is survived by a son, Brent (DeAnn) of Montesano; a daughter Sheri (Steve) Guillot of Elberon, Iowa; grandchildren Steve (Erika) Frazer of Scottsdale, Ariz., Ryan (Molly) Bold of Aberdeen, Shad (Brittney) Knott of Jemison, Ala., and Rachel Knott of Manteca, Calif.; three step-grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and sister Esther (Ken) Aarhaus.
