Marilyn Cobb Pratt, age 92, of Hoquiam, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020. She was born in Wellsville, New York on Sept. 9, 1928, to Elymus and Dorothy Barker.

On Jan. 1, 1947, Marilyn and Duncan Cobb were married and honeymooned at Niagara Falls. The couple made their home in Genesee, Pennsylvania until moving to Hoquiam in 1961. Duncan died in 1988.

Marilyn was an LPN and worked several years at St. Joseph Hospital in Aberdeen.

Marilyn was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Hoquiam. Her hobbies included square dancing, crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, walking, reading and gardening.

On Dec. 12, 1999, she and Delbert Pratt were married. Delbert died in 2010.

Surviving relatives include her sisters Amy Tormey and Nancy Asbury; two daughters, Dotti (Bob) Smith and Debbi (Uldis) Matisons; a son Clark Cobb and daughter-in-law, Debbie Cobb (wife of the late Duncan Cobb Jr.); grandchildren: Tyson Cobb, Curtis (Lisa) Cobb, Melissa Smith, Jeff (Katie) Smith, Janelle (Charles) Corbett, Bobbi (Dustin) Kinkade, Amy Matisons, Jon (Stacie)Matisons, Korey Turner, Kristy (Nate)Vargas, Myra Cobb, Levi Linné, Will Lachapple and Chloe; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. The extended family includes stepchildren, James Pratt, Margaret Jenkins, John Pratt, Delbert Pratt Jr. and Marie Caskey.

Marilyn touched the lives and hearts of many during her lifetime. She will be especially remembered for her saying when asked “How are feeling today?” her response was “fair to middling.”

In addition to Duncan and Delbert, she was preceded in death by her children Duncan Cobb Jr., David Cobb, Karen Linne’ and Ty Cobb.

A private urn committal will be held at St. John Cemetery and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
