Marceline Rose McKinney passed away Aug. 9, 2017, with her loving husband by her side. Born Jan. 5, 1928, in St. John, N.D., Marcy grew up in South Dakota and Washington. She was married to Ronald L. McKinney for more than 40 years.

After retiring from the Social Security Administration in 1997, she and Ron traveled the U.S. buying antiques and lived out their retirement in Cosmopolis, Wash. Her most cherished moments were spent with her children and grandchildren or enjoying the outdoors fishing, camping and boating. She never missed an opportunity to bake her and her family’s favorites, chocolate chip cookies and apple pie. In her later years, she was an active member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, Wash.

She is survived by her husband; her sister, Delores Harper of Seminole, Okla., children, Terry Holderman (Nancy), Mark Holderman (Zhi-fen) Tim Holderman (Susan), Robin Love (Don) and Ron McKinney, Jr.; grandchildren, Steve Holderman, Jaime White (Ryan), Brandon Holderman, Holly Jansky (Zachary), Patrick Reish, Nickole Ray, Tina Holderman, and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Wyatt, Ryan, Julian, Colt, Hunter and Alliegh.

Marcy was always there to lend an understanding ear, share her wisdom, provide support and most importantly, offer unconditional love to her family. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Family and friends are invited to her memorial service at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, Wash. at 1:00 p.m. Saturday Sept. 9, 2017.

Her family wishes to thank the entire first floor nursing staff at Grays Harbor Health and Rehab for their exceptional loving care for not only her but all her family members.
