After a long period of declining health, Lynn Harris Gadwa passed away at the family home on Jan. 27, 2022.

Born Oct. 30, 1959 to Jack and Shirley (Ann) Harris, Lynn grew up the youngest of five siblings in the Canyon Court area of Aberdeen. She attended Weatherwax High School and Grays Harbor College.

After 33 years of marriage, Lynn leaves behind husband Mike and her blended family: Mike Stopsen of Cosmopolis, Dawn Gadwa of Olympia and Leslie Gadwa of the Wishkah Valley, along with five grandchildren.

Lynn worked in the local property title industry as a title examiner/officer for over 20 years. In 2005, she changed careers, first delivering for a local auto parts firm. She then found the job she loved — driving school bus for the Hoquiam School District.

Retiring in 2016, she devoted her time to travel, gardening, camping and making sure every bird in the neighborhood was well-fed. No matter what her age, Lynn always retained a youthful, fun-loving attitude which made her so special.

She was a kind, gentle person who will be sorely missed.
