Lyla Lee Penor passed away Feb. 16, 2022, in Olympia, Washington. She was born Feb. 21, 1954, to Robert Edward Smiley and Bobbi Louise McNamara in Aberdeen, Washington.

Lyla married Ted Penor on Aug. 3, 1990. She worked as a barber, flagger and Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved riding Harleys and crafting dream catchers.

She is survived by her husband, Ted; sons Jerry Smiley and DonnLee KiviAasen; daughters Becky Trumble and Dawn Mariee Conrad; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers: Norman (Tracy) Smiley, Mark Smiley, Gerald Aleshire, Tony Smiley, Victor Smiley and Dave Smiley; and sisters: Dale (Tom) Dineen, Billy McNamara and Terri Smiley. She was predeceased by her daughter Bobbi Rachel Schaefer, parents; and brother Tom Smiley.

There will be a memorial service March 5, 2022, 1 p.m. at Camp Grace (Gethsemane Ministries), 202 E. Misty Acres Lane, Union, Washington 98592.
