Loretta Ann Bishop, 76 years of age and a longtime Copalis Beach, Washington resident, died on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at her home in Copalis Beach.

Loretta Ann Bishop, 76 years of age and a longtime Copalis Beach, Washington, resident, died on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at her home in Copalis Beach. She was born on June 15, 1944, in Ocean City, Washington, to Ed and Peg (Churchill) Valentine and was the youngest daughter of 16 children.

She was raised in Ocean City and attended schools in the area to include Moclips High School.

Loretta A. Valentine was married to George G. Bishop on April 23, 1960, at the Copalis Community Church at Copalis Beach.

Loretta had worked in Ocean Shores at Grays Harbor Plumbing, Ace Hardware and the Ocean Shores Community Club and retired on Sept. 27, 2019.

She enjoyed gardening, working crossword puzzles, playing with her grandchildren, making sure her hummingbirds were well fed, traveling and being a “Grandma” to many kids.

Loretta Bishop is survived by her husband, George Bishop of the Copalis Beach family home; her daughter, Michelle of Federal Way; her sons, Andrew “Michal” of the Wishkah and Timothy of Aberdeen; her sister, Barbara Staglund; her brothers, Walter “Jim” Valentine, Irvin Valentine, Louis Valentine and Fred Valentine; her grandchildren, Brandi Emard (Marc), Nick Bishop, Chris Bishop and Zack Bishop; her great-grandchild, Alaric Emard and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by a son, David.

A celebration of her life may be held later.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam.
