On June, 28 1943, Lois married Alfred R. Pearson in Riverside, Calif. They were married for 41 years at the time of his passing. Lois and Al enjoyed spending time with their best friends; Matt and Clara Pleasha and Kenny and Arlene Snyder. It was common on weekends to spend time at one another’s house enjoying great meals and playing cards. The ladies could be found baking Christmas cookies together through the years. She was an excellent cook and up until the last couple years she entertained family with wonderful holiday meals. It was always a treat to receive one of her apple pies.
Lois was a bartender at her brother in-law’s tavern, Mal’s Tavern, for 17 years. She spent 30 years working as a bartender for The Ace of Clubs in Hoquiam, Wash. where she started in 1965 and later retired. She enjoyed what she did and her customers loved and respected her. She would not hold back on keeping their car keys if she thought this was necessary. She was also employed at Adamore Shoes for a time before bartending.
In her younger years Lois loved to travel. She visited Hong Kong, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean. Although, the most treasures memories were made at her cabin on Summit Lake.
Lois took pride in her yard and enjoyed maintaining its beauty. However, when there was a game on she could be found inside rooting for the Mariners and Seahawks. She also enjoyed going to the Aberdeen Elks Lodge with her neighbor and best friend, Bev McGarrah. Every Tuesday afternoon they would meet up there for dinner.
Lois is survived by her children Gregory (Seran) Pearson of Las Vegas, Nev. and Carole (Kenneth) Seibert of Vancouver, Wash.; siblings Gary Bostwick of Lacey, Wash. and Delores Kirkwood of Montesano, Wash.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved dashound Holly.
