Linda Leanne (Stutzman) Schimelpfenig, age 56, died shortly after midnight Dec. 26, 2018, of heart failure. She was born May 27, 1962, in Aberdeen, Wash., to Pearl and Gloria (Grenz) Stutzman of Oregon.
After growing up in East Hoquiam, she graduated from Wishkah High School in 1980. In April 1986 Linda married Bruce Schimelpfenig and they had four children. Linda was a loving and selfless person—always there for her loved ones. Throughout her life she touched many people with her willingness to give, joyful heart, and bright smile.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pearl, and is survived by her mother, Gloria McLeod of Elma; daughters KayDee (Jerred) Parker of Scio, Ore.; KyLee (Monty) Woodley of Scio, Ore.; Erica Schimelpfenig and fiancé Vince McCrory of East Hoquiam, and Erin Schimelpfenig and fiancé Eric Mix of Aberdeen; and grandchildren, Melanie, Emily, and Trent Parker; KayDee, Monty and Lilly Woodley; Glenny and Lovella Black-McCrory; Xander and Scarlett McCrory, and another grandson on the way.
A funeral will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at the Wishkah Valley Community Church. A small, private graveside farewell will follow the service at Saint John’s Cemetery in Wishkah, and then a meal back at the chapel. Friends may bring a favorite dish to share at lunch.
