Linda Jane Wilder, age 81, a resident of Elma, died on Aug. 15, 2021, at Providence Centralia Hospital. Mrs. Wilder was born on June 7, 1940, in Shelton, Washington to Roger Carl and Margaret Magdalene (Kelly) Spalding.
She attended Mary M. Knight from which she graduated in 1957. On March 6, 1959, she and Earl Lee Wilder were married. The couple then lived on Fuller Hill where they raised their family.
Linda had been a member of the Satsop Methodist Church for over 60 years and had served as president of the Woman’s Ladies Aid. She had also been a member of the Montesano Eagles and Elma Eagles where she had held all offices and volunteered her time for many years. In addition, she volunteered for Hope From Horses in Elma and was a mother to many kids in the neighborhood.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Tamara Jayne Combs (Russ) of Montesano and Rose Marie Patton (Eric); two sons, Thomas Lee Wilder (Kristi) of Elma and Roger Wayne Wilder (Angela) of McCleary; grandchildren: Chaz Wilder, Bill McCormick, Matthew Combs, Abigayle Combs, Dalton Combs, Alex Patton and Angie Patton; and great-grandchildren: William McCormick, Tyler McCormick and Rainier Combs; a sister, Rosalie Beckwith of Elma and an honorary son, Patrick Carl.
In addition to her husband, Linda was preceded by two sisters, one brother and a grandson, Lance Combs.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Satsop Methodist Church. There will be a private urn committal at Satsop Cemetery at a later date.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Satsop Methodist Church, P.O Box 55, Satsop, WA 98583
