Laverne “Lee” Rockey Hanneman passed away on July 21, 2017. She was 95 years old. She was born on March 8, 1921, to Charles Zeckser and Helen Blanc in Kansas City, Kan.

She married Zane Rockey in Seattle in 1945. They had two children, Harold and Gail. Gail preceded Lee in death. Mom and Dad owned and operated Rockey’s Charter Service in Wesport for approximately 30 years.

Mom divorced Dad and after several years met and married Duane “Whitey” Hanneman; they were married for over 20 years. Duane passed away in 2008. They had a lot of fun together, traveling around the world; mostly on cruise ships. Mom could finally live her later years a very happy lady. Whitey had three children. His two sons Mike and Chuck passed before him. Sue is doing well, she married Brad Felger, they live north of Seattle. Mom’s younger sister Tootie, as did her brother Bud Zeckser, both of Seattle, passed away before mom. Mom and her sister Tootie enjoyed each others company. Tootie would come to Elma and spend a couple days the girls would go casino hopping.
