Laura Jeanne Hoggatt (Linde Olson) was born in Hawaii Jan. 26, 1940, to Lila D. and James Theodore “Ted” Hoggatt.

Laura Jeanne Hoggatt (Linde Olson) was born in Hawaii Jan. 26, 1940, to Lila D. and James Theodore “Ted” Hoggatt while he was serving in the U.S. Navy. Laura passed away peacefully of natural causes on Sept. 24, 2022, surrounded by her loving daughters at the age of 82.

Laura was predeceased by two of her brothers Andy and Jim Hoggatt, her only son Bradley James Linde, first husband James G. Linde and second husband Gene Olson.

Laura is survived by her sister Lila D. Smith, brother Douglas Hoggatt, many cousins including her sister/cousin Mary Sanger West, and her four daughters: Karla Hilton, Andrea Linde, Elisabeth Mansfield and Margaret Linde. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren.

Laura graduated from Queen Anne High School and achieved many other skills. She was a smart and capable woman who valued hospitality and generosity. She was a hard worker and enjoyed being part of a few unions as well as a forklift driver for many years.

In her retirement she enjoyed classical music, baking the Thanksgiving pies, playing the lottery, and spending time with family and friends. She was always a proud and flirtatious woman who lived her life the best she knew how. Her ability to bring out a smile or laugh was enjoyed by many. She was most proud of her children as her best accomplishment and gift to the world.

A graveside service will be at Purdy & Walters Floral Cemetery in Lynnwood, Washington at 12 noon on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, with a reception following from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Clubhouse in Kenmore.

Her exuberant light and joyful smile will be missed until we meet again.
