Larry Lauritzen

SEATTLE — Longtime Aberdeen resident Larry Lauritzen died Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Seattle from complications of Alzheimer’s. He was 76.

He worked as a building inspector for the City of Aberdeen for 26 years, was a member of the NeighborWorks board for 34 years and was also active in Habitat for Humanity for many years.

Hoquiam resident John Paul Ambler died Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at home. He was 70.

Robert E. Kemplin

LAKEWOOD — Robert Earl Kemplin of Aberdeen died Monday, March 5, 2018, at American Lake Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lakewood. He was 97.

Services are being planned and will be announced when details become available.

Ronald E. Phillipi

ELMA — Ronald Eugene Phillipi of Elma died Friday, March 2, 2018, at Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma. He was 78.

He had been an electrical engineer for the Washington Nuclear Project 3 and 5 at Satsop.

ELMA — Nicole Louann Peterson, an Elma resident and potter, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at her. She was 65.

She will be inurned with her mother in the Big Sandy Cemetery, Big Sandy, Montana.

Cremation arrangements are by Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Linda S. Stutzenburg

Linda Suzanne Stutzenburg of Hoquiam died Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 68.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Jo Ann H. Huntoon

SEATTLE — Former Aberdeen resident Jo Ann Hatley Huntoon died Sunday, March 4, 2018, in Seattle. She was 66.

A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 16, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Aberdeen followed by burial at Fern Hill Cemetery.
