Kenneth “Dugan” Snyder, 84, of Ocean Shores, Washington, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from natural causes.
Dugan was born on Dec. 26, 1941, in Aberdeen and graduated from Wishkah Valley School in 1959. He went on to study at Grays Harbor College and graduated from Tacoma Vocational Tech. Dugan worked 33 years for Boeing, retiring in 1999.
In 1975, Dugan met Jean Collier in Seattle and they married in 1994. Dugan and Jean lived in South Seattle for several years before retiring full time to Ocean Shores around 2000.
An avid racing fan, Dugan traveled extensively around the PNW to witness and participate in racing events including at Elma Fairgrounds, Puyallup Dragway, S.I.R and Spanaway. He also enjoyed attending live music performances.
Dugan was predeceased by brothers Robert Snyder, Butch Haskey, David Haskey and sister Dixie Compton. He is survived by sisters Leona Allen and Kathy Underwood, brothers Clifford Snyder, Wayne Snyder, Jean’s children, Cheryl, Laura and Marty, grandchildren Sean, Christina, Jonathan and Jack, great-grandchildren Evan, Audrey and Elliott as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins around Grays Harbor and beyond.
