Katherine “Kathy” Jo Nelson passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2024, in the comfort of her own home in Raymond, Washington. Kathy was born to Amil and Goldie Emery on December 2, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri.

With her family, Kathy moved and was raised in Aberdeen with her 9 siblings. Kathy met the love of her life in 1976, Craig Nelson, and was later married on May 13th, 1978. Kathy was a homemaker and had two sons and one daughter, Tommy and Robert Stutesman, and Debra Hernandez. Kathy had many hobbies and likes such as art and crafts, gardening, and spending time with her family. Kathy enjoyed her time with her grandkids. And enjoyed providing for her family

Kathy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Craig Nelson; son, Robert Stutesman; daughter, Debra Hernandez; brothers, Buster Emery and Jesse Emery; sister, Vicky Moore; granddaughter, Emily Stutesman; grandsons, Tristan Stutesman, Garrett Stutesman, Gage Stutesman, Trevor Foster, Angel Sanchez, Evan Sanchez, Cody Stutesman, Tommy Stutesman Jr. and Zachary Stutesman

She is proceeded in death by parents Goldie and Amil Emery; son, Tommy Stutesman; brothers, Marvin Emery and Jim Emery; sisters, Helen Russell, Patty Grauman, Judy Brown, and Sharon Jimenez.

A memorial service will be held for Katherine at the Central Park Neigborhood Church,7010 Bryrwood Drive, Aberdeen, WA 98520 March 30, 2024, at 1 p.m.
