With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Julia Mae Durrin, age 30, of Hoquiam, Washington, who left this world far too soon on May 21, 2025.
Born on Aug. 10, 1994, in Aberdeen, Washington, Julia lived a life filled with compassion, love, and resilience. From a young age, Julia was known for her deep love of animals, a passion that guided her in her pursuit of becoming a Veterinary Technician. She was actively studying at Penn Foster to make that dream a reality.
Julia’s dedication and spirit shone early in life — she graduated from high school a year ahead of schedule so she could begin her next chapter with her high school sweetheart, Brandon Osborne. Together, they brought two beautiful children into the world: their daughter, Sydney, and their son, Mason. Though Julia and Brandon later parted ways, their unwavering commitment to co-parenting in love and support for their children remained a cornerstone of her life.
Julia is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her children, Sydney and Mason; her mother, Jennifer Durrin; her father, Robert Barber; her siblings, Cooper Durrin, Jaeden Barber, Paige Madison, and Justin Madison; her grandparents Peggy and Barry Durrin, grandparents Jan and Dale Rogers and grandfather Robert Barber; her aunts, Stephanie Grout, Gina Durrin and Jessica Barber; her uncles, Todd Grout and Brian Bilderback; and many cousins, extended family members, and friends who were touched by her kindness and vibrant spirit. She is also survived by her loving boyfriend, Joshua Conway, who brought joy and companionship to her life. Julia’s faithful dog, Minnie, was there to provide Julia with comfort throughout the best and worst times of her life and was with her until the very end.
Julia was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Hayden in 2022 and her great-great grandparents.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday May 31st, 2025 honoring Julia’s memory.
