Judith “Pudy” Ann Baker (Chadwick) of Montesano, Washington died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022.

Judith “Pudy” Ann Baker (Chadwick) of Montesano, Washington died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022. In her final days, she was surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born Aug. 30, 1942, in Bismarck, North Dakota to Marvin and Lillian Chadwick. The family packed up and drove in a Model T Ford and moved to Grays Harbor County when she was just a toddler. She went to school in Montesano and was part of the Montesano High School class of 1962.

Judy enjoyed playing cards, spending time with her family and taking road trips.

Shortly after high school she married Donald Wilson in Cosmopolis, Washington where they made their home, and later divorced. Judy then married Ed Baker and moved to Sequim, Washington where she worked as a caregiver for many neighbors and friends. After Ed passed, she met Grant Richardson whom she shared many loving years with.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Craig Allan, and lifelong partner Grant Richardson. She is survived by her two brothers Jerry Chadwick of Montesano and Jim (Janet) Chadwick of Grants Pass, Oregon; sister Janice (George) Middleton of Montesano, daughters Valerie (Michael) Williams of Tacoma, and CarolAnn (Steve) Dey of Aberdeen. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Mercedes (TJ) Knight, Michaela Abinales, Zack (Katy) Stoehr, Brooke (Dakota) McDaniel, Kiana and Maaleek Williams, Jeremy and Sydney Stoehr and five great-grandchildren: Dior, Emmerson, Cooper, Jace and Oakley.

A graveside service will be held at the Satsop Cemetery on March 1, at 1 p.m.
