Joyce Evelyn Peters passed away on Feb. 5, 2023. Joyce was born on June 11, 1938, to Earl and Inez Heist in York, Pennsylvania. Joyce married her husband Ingle Ervin Peters on June 13, 1956 in Hampstead, Maryland. In the late 1970s, Joyce and her husband moved to Norwalk, Ohio, where they pastored the Norwalk Apostolic Lighthouse Church. Desiring to be closer to their children and grandchildren, they moved to this area in 1998.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Ingle Peters; parents Earl and Inez Heist; brothers Bill, Howard, Curtis and Earl Heist Jr; and sisters Janet Messersmith, Lorraine Koehler, Delores Anderson and Shirley Salisbury.

Joyce is survived by her daughters Christine Graves of McCleary, Washington, and Gwendolyn Watson of Kingsport, Tennessee; six grandchildren: Daniel, Caleb and Aaron Graves; Robert Watson, Rebekah Doescher and Rachel Kennedy; 12 great-grandchildren: Anthony, Laree, Bailey, Charlotte and Clara-Belle Lynn Graves; Dallas and Brookelynn Watson; Jakeb, Jaxon; and Belle Doescher; and Londyn and Anna Kate Kennedy.

A graveside service will be held for Joyce on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at 1 p.m. at McCleary Cemetery. Immediately following, at 3 p.m., a memorial service will be held at Apostolic Wells of Living Water Church, 20 Matthews Rd. Satsop, Washington.
