We lost a special soul Dec. 7, 2022. She valiantly fought for every day in her later years with many ailments, heart and COPD being the worst.

In the end she couldn’t fight anymore and went to the loving arms of the many family members waiting for her, where she can once again dance and party all night, like we all did in our younger years!

She was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Longview, Washington. Her early years were spent up North River Valley, past the school. She loved spending time outside, riding her horse and exploring the surrounding property. In school she played basketball and liked playing all sports.

In her early teens the family moved to Carlton, Oregon. It was during this time she went through a little wild child time, exploring life’s challenges as they came.

In 1963 she married Bob Hills and from that union the sweet bundle of joy, Steven was born. She worked hard to provide for them both. A few years later she married Bill Pritchard, and the second sweet bundle of joy, Anton, came into her life.

She and Bill started a concrete business, Pritchard Concrete, and ran it for many years.

She worked many jobs in her life, including Oregon State employment, a concrete business and AB Laundry (named after her Dad) that was a commercial business that her son Steve and daughter Sue purchased and ran for many years.

She married Ray Pierce, her one-time high school teacher. They had a great time, traveling and going to the casino until he passed away.

Later she became a caretaker of her dad, mom, sister Alice and others. This as we know is a hard job, but she took it in stride and was always happy to know it was time well spent. She had no regrets when they passed away.

The past six years, she spent in her cute trailer in Country Estates. She loved it there, made many friends and they looked after each other.

Growing flowers and a small garden she was content, having many family gatherings, cooking dinner for her friends and playing pinochle whenever she could.

Of course she looked after all of us, and was the glue that held us together.

The family that must go on without her are her son Steven (Sue) Hills, son Anton Pritchard, all of Beaverton, Oregon; niece and nephew Vonnie and Stan Dillingham of Elma, sister Mina (Bill) Bickar of Aberdeen , brother David (Ellen) Johnson of Yuba City, California, nephew Denny (Melanie) Bickar of Aberdeen, nephew Alan Bickar of Elma, numerous nieces, nephews and so many friends.

Family passed and already hugging her: parents Art and Eula Johnson, sis and brother Alice and Harold Wood, brother Dale Johnson, nephew Richard Wood, niece Cathy Adams, and all her exs, that could be interesting to say the least!

We were privileged to know her. We were never sure what she would say or when, but if she loved you it was unconditional and she always had your back, no matter what! We will be limping along for a long time, but we know if we falter, you will send a lightning bolt down to straighten us up!

God speed sweetheart. We love you more than we can say!

Until we meet again.

At this time no service is planned. We will do this at a later date.
