Jon B. Hillebrant Sr. passed away on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del.
Jon was born Nov. 17, 1944, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Tidal (Tom) and Mildred Hillebrant. The family moved to Pocatello, Idaho where he grew up and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1963.
On June 1, 1963, Jon married the love of his life, Glenna (Tudie) Wilkerson. They later moved to Aberdeen, Wash., where they raised their children, Jon Jr., Traci, and Kristie. Jon and Tudie had recently moved to Middletown, Del. to live with their daughter Traci and her family.
Jon was part of the Jaycees group and was director of The Miss Grays Harbor Pageant for six years. He enjoyed coaching and watching his children’s sports activities. In his spare time, he enjoyed designing and building birdhouses, gardening, woodworking and cheering on the Seahawks and Mariners.
People who knew and loved Jon, knew he worked as a Salesman most of his life. He loved chatting with people and getting to know them. If he could make a sale that was a bonus to him. In the early years he worked for Sears, various outdoor advertising companies and automobile dealerships.
Jon is preceded in death by his parents Tidal (Tom) and Mildred Hillebrant and brothers Tom Hillebrant and Danny Hillebrant.
Jon is survived by his wife Glenna (Tudie); son, Jon Jr. (Diana) of Aberdeen, Wash.; daughters, Traci (Scott) Stenner of Middletown, Del., Kristie (Doug) Thornton of Aberdeen, Wash.; six grandchildren, Raea and Sophie Hillebrant, Paige and Ryan Thornton, Michael and Alex Stenner; brothers Denny and Tim Hillebrant of Pocatello, Idaho and sister Jeannie Carkeet of Turlock, Calif.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jon was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date in Aberdeen, Wash.
