John ‘Jack’ Carter Hill Jr.

John “Jack” Carter Hill Jr., was born March 7, 1932, in Aberdeen, Washington.

Husband, father, brother and son John “Jack” Carter Hill Jr., was born March 7, 1932, in Aberdeen, Washington to John Carter Hill Sr. and Nora Davis. He passed away Nov. 11, 2021.

Jack was raised in Grayland, Washington, where he attended and graduated from Ocosta High School.

Jack married Jane Clark in June of 1953, after which they moved to the Central Park area.

Jack worked for Weyerhaeuser at the pulp mill in Cosmopolis, Washington until he retired in 1995. He also worked for West Coast Plywood and drove a book mobile. He enjoyed working in his yard, going to local casinos and going for drives. Growing up he enjoyed going to the beach to clam dig, and hunting for rocks and agates.

Jack is survived by his sons Terry (Londa) Hill of Central Park; Scott (Leslie) Hill of Port Angeles, Washington; Shawn (Christine) Hill of Montesano, Washington; and Darren Hill of Central Park; grandson Evan (Michelle Leach) Hill; granddaughter Laura Jones (Lily Jones); Lena, Christina, Autumn and families.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jane; his sons Matthew and Mark who passed away at birth; parents John Sr. and Nora; brother Donald Hill; and sisters Bonnie Grimes and Shirley Bowman

Donations and memorials can be made to American Cancer Society and Dementia/Alzheimer’s Association.

A public graveside service will be held at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen, on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at 11 a.m.
