We are sad to announce the death of John Eugene Mitchell on June 05, 2023. He was 63 years old. John was born in Minot, North Dakota on Nov. 23, 1959. His family moved to Aberdeen, Washington in 1962. John graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1978. He graduated from Grays Harbor College in 1982. John moved to Medford, Oregon in 1986 and started his business, Senior Insurance Services.

John is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Sandra M Mitchell and his most beloved son, Roy David Mitchell both of the family home in Medford, Sandra’s mother, Nelly Erazo Rodriguez of Cali, Colombia and Sandra’s sisters, Carolina Rodriguez Alzate (Rafael) and Linda Alejandra Rodriguez Gaviria (Mauricio) of Cali, Colombia.

John is also survived by his two sisters, JoAnn Mitchell West (Jerry) of Sun City, Arizona and Carol Mitchell Godfrey of Camarillo, California. His surviving brother is James Mitchell (Myra) of Tacoma, Washington. John had numerous nieces and nephews. John also had many cherished friends from his school days in Aberdeen.

John was predeceased by his parents Joseph Roy Mitchell and Anna Belle Morrissy Mitchell, his sister Marilyn Mitchell Lantz and his brother Joseph Leroy Mitchell.

John was an excellent athlete in his youth, excelling in basketball and baseball. He was an avid LA Rams fan, and he loved to travel on luxurious trips. He traveled with his family on numerous trips, especially to Colombia.

John was very much loved and is gone too soon. He will be sorely missed.
