JoAnn Marie Warness passed away on April 28, 2025, in Tacoma, Washington, at the age of 92.

Born on May 31, 1932, to Joe and Anna Filip, JoAnn built a life rooted in family and hard work. On Oct. 20, 1950, she married Clarence Warness, and together they shared a devoted partnership that spanned decades. They made their home in Grayland, Washington, where they worked side by side as cranberry farmers and commercial fishermen.

JoAnn was the proud mother of three children: Joseph Warness, Michael Warness, and Cheri Helsdon. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren — Leif, Seth, Kaia, Darcie, Jason, Mary, and Jessie — and numerous great-grandchildren who brought joy to her later years.

Her life was one of dedication — to her family, to her work alongside Clarence, and to the community they called home. She will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who knew her.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on June 2, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Twin Harbors Lutheran Church, 2424 WA-105. A reception will follow in the church parish hall.
