Jo-Rene Moore was born in Spokane, Washington, where she spent her childhood, graduating from Lewis and Clark High School in 1962. She earned degrees from Eastern Washington University and the University of Washington.
Jo-Rene married Robert Roseberry in 1966, and lived the next 50 years in several towns in Western Washington, including Ferndale, Aberdeen, Centralia, Graham and Olympia. Jo-Rene worked in education for much of her adult life, teaching primary and secondary education, and serving in K-12 administration. She taught for several years at Wishkah Valley School.
Jo-Rene touched so many with her friendliness, her optimism, her openness to new experiences, and her unforgettable smile. As a life-long educator, she served as a mentor to her colleagues and made a positive impact on many student lives. As a life-long learner, Jo-Rene was a photographer, a painter, and a spiritual explorer. Jo-Rene’s memory will be cherished by many.
Jo-Rene was preceded in death by her sister Joyce, and is survived by her brothers, Stan and Larry Moore, her former husband Robert Roseberry; her sons, Wayne Roseberry (wife Tanya) and David Roseberry (husband Tom), and her grandchildren: Hanna, Aimee and Ethan Roseberry.
No funeral services are currently planned. A memorial will be announced at a later date.
