Lifelong Elma/Porter resident Jesse Erickson passed away in his home at the age of 81 after a short battle with Leukemia.
During his lifetime Jesse worked as a farmhand on local farms, for the Northern Pacific Railway Company, served in the U.S. Army and worked at the Simpson Door Plant in McCleary, Washington.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, clam digging and spending time with his grand/great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Zelma Erickson of Porter, three sisters and six brothers.
He is survived by his brother Richard Erickson of Lynnwood Washington, two daughters, Lisa (Eric) Kirschenman of Westport and Katrina Erickson of Elma, eight grandchildren, Ashley (Steve), Daniel, Cache, Jenner, Jaden, Levi, Alex and Kadi, two great-grandchildren, Keira and Hayden plus many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at the Odd Fellows Cemetery at a later date.
