Jerri Sagen

beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly

Jerri (Lockwood) Sagen, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Jan. 31, 2020, at the age of 58. She was born on June 27, 1961, in Aberdeen to Bill and Marilyn (Cornwell) Lockwood, along with her twin sister, Sherri. Jerri spent the first few years of her life at Camp Grisdale until the family moved to Montesano. A few years later, the family was completed when her youngest sister Julie was born in 1968. She loved her sissies more than anything.

Jerri attended Montesano High School and graduated with the Class of 1979. Later, on June 23 of the same year, she married her high school sweetheart, Ed Fry. The couple bought a home in Montesano and had two children, Joshua and Jacob. They were married for 15 years before divorcing in 1993.

Jerri later fell in love with Mark Sagen. The couple were married on Aug. 6, 1994. Jerri became a “bonus mom” to his two children, Philip and Jaclyn, who she loved as if they were her own. Mark and Jerri built their dream home in 2000. Jerri took pride in making a warm and beautiful home for her family. They co-owned Valu Drug in Montesano for many years before selling the store and retiring in 2017. Last year, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii.

Jerri was one of the brightest and happiest people you could ever meet. She was very thoughtful and loved buying gifts for others. She liked nothing more than spending time with her family, especially around the holidays and on many family vacations. She often enjoyed vacationing in Hawaii and she loved country music. She adored spending time with her grandchildren.

Jerri is survived by her loving husband Mark at the family home in Montesano, her sons Josh (Sonya) and Jake (Jennifer) Fry, her stepson Phil (Jennifer) Sagen, and her stepdaughter Jaclyn (Allen) Buck, as well as her parents Bill and Marilyn Lockwood, her sisters Sherri (Ken) Raines and Julie (Russ) Burke and grandchildren Baylee, Mason, Addisyn, Reagan, John and Henry, plus many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a gathering of family and friends held on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Church of God in Montesano from 3-6 p.m. The family invites you to visit the Fellowship Hall to share your memories of Jerri. You can also go to the website at http://www.harrisonfamilymortuary.com and share any pictures or personal stories about Jerri with the family.

In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family encourages you to make a donation to a charity of your choice.
