After a long battle with cancer, Jason gained his wings and was called home on Feb. 16, 2019, in Aberdeen.

After a long battle with cancer, Jason gained his wings and was called home on Feb. 16, 2019, in Aberdeen.

Jason Lee Pettainen, was born at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Washington on the 12th day of June 1971.

He graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1990, served with the U.S. Army, drove school bus for Hoquiam, for Community Hospital and Grays Harbor Transit.

Jason is survived by his best Summer’s family friend; his sons, Kasey Dylan Johnson (Pettainen), his triplet boys, Jonah A. Pettainen, Mattan A. Pettainen and Jarius L. Pettainen; his aunts, Barb Strote of Ketchikan, Alaska, Norene Johnson of Olympia, Washington and Kris Block of California, an uncle, John Pettainen and other relatives.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Hoquiam V.F.W., 407 – 7th Street in Hoquiam.

Arrangements are by Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam.
