Janis Marie Lemieux died Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at the age of 75 from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Proceeded in death by her son, Michael Lewis Mabe, husband Les Strandberg. Survived by brothers, Leslie MacDonald, Calvin Williams, Gary Williams, sons and daughters, James Mabe, Jeanette Lemieux, Julia Lemieux, Janis Lemieux, Jenell Lemieux, Jane Lemieux, Joseph Lemieux, Brandon Lemieux, Zadien Lemieux-Ludington, Julia Lemieux-Swift and Joseph John Henry Lemieux-Swift and innumerable grandchildren. She was the greatest mom and grandmother. A talented athlete, some of her hobbies included drawing and painting, sewing, canning, playing musical instruments and singing, learning and sharing those discoveries.
Born a Princess and direct descendant of Royalty in the Chiefton bloodline of the Makah Nation and Jamestown ‘Sklallam.
Among many accomplishments, Janis completed a carpentry course and was among the crew to build the Quinault Casino in Oyehut at Ocean Shore’s, completed the truck driving school, received her CDL where she started her own cedar shake bolt delivery business as-well-as becoming a certified Care Provider. How very exciting a lady she was. She will very much be missed and remembered always.
Services are to be held Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at 1 p.m., with a sacred ceremonial viewing beginning at 9 a.m. in Fern Hill’s Chapel.
Arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
