James “Jimmy” Neil Cobain, 76, passed away April 12, at Providence Hospital in Olympia from heart issues.
He was born July 25, 1947 to Iris Maxine Labrot and Leland Elmer Cobain at St. Mary’s Hospital in Aberdeen.
James lived a very full and vibrant life. He graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1965.
He was a very talented artist and touched the lives of many with his jewelry making, and pen and ink drawings, and paintings. He was a union laborer and a finish carpenter.
James is survived by his wife Carmen of Hoquiam, daughter Ann (Chris) Olson and grandsons Wyatt and Quinn of Rainier, Washington; son Jon (Ann), granddaughter Calla and grandson Kai Cobain of Hawaii; brothers Don (Jennifer) and family, and Gary and family; stepsons Travis Lawson and Shawn Lawson and family of Colorado; stepdaughter Tracy and family of Wisconsin, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was loved by many.
We will be celebrating Jimmy at the Artic Community Hall at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29. It’s a potluck so bring your favorite dishes to share. All friends and family are invited.
