James “Jim” Richardson of Aberdeen passed away at his home on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016.

James “Jim” Richardson of Aberdeen passed away at his home on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016. Jim was born April 10, 1951, in Seattle, Wash., to Harold and Irene (Clementz) Richardson. Jim graduated from Lake Stevens High School. Jim married Janette Sheraton and she survives him at the family home.

Jim went to work at Weyerhaeuser straight out of high school becoming a lumber grader both in Everett and Raymond. After he retired from Weyco, he went to work at Simpson Timber in Shelton until they had a mill closure at which time he attended Grays Harbor College and received his LPN in nursing. He retired shortly after.

Finding himself bored and mix that with his love of animals he went to work part time for Happy at Home Pet Sitting. He loved having so many animal friends.

Jim loved to work out and lift weights, it was his passion. He never smoked, ate well and was in tip top shape for a man his age.

In addition to his loving wife Jan, he is also survived by his son Jason Richardson; brother Ken of Spokane, Wash.; sisters, Mary of Wenatchee, Wash.; Barb of Lacey, Wash. and Beth of Mt. Home, Idaho; and three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and special brother-in-law Mike Sheraton with whom he was especially close.

He was preceded in death by his step-son Robert John Ackerman and also his parents and grandparents.
