James ‘Jim’ Fisher

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James “Jim” Fisher who departed this life at Harbor Regional Health peacefully on Oct. 18, 2025, at the age of 76. Jim was born in San Francisco, California to Jesse and Barbara Fisher on Aug. 1, 1949. The family later settled in Hoquiam Washington.
Jim dedicated 26 years to ITT Rayonier Pulp Mill as an Operating Manager until they closed in 1997.
Jim graduated from Hoquiam High School and was known for his quick wit and his love of sports. Jim enjoyed participating in sports by playing, officiating, and coaching in his younger years and as he grew older he enjoyed watching sports with friends and family out in the community. Jim also enjoyed reading and working on puzzle books as his health declined.
Jim is survived by his children: Nikki (Dan) of Bremerton, Charity (Derrick) of Chehalis, Jamie (Owen) of Aberdeen, Scott (Amanda) of Hoquiam, and Brandy (Anthony) of Moses Lake, sisters Nancy of Burien and Donna of Aberdeen, brother Neal (BJ) of Aberdeen and his 27 grandchildren as well as 23 great-grandchildren.
Jim is preceded in death by his daughter Carmen Garza, his parents Jesse and Barbara Fisher and one great-grandchild MaddiLynn.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. at the Ocosta Recreational Hall located (off of the Westport hwy) at 45 Ocosta 6th Street Aberdeen, WA 98520.
