James Cody Stearns, age 30, a resident of Aberdeen, died on May 18, 2021, at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital. Cody was born on Sept. 21, 1990, in Aberdeen. He was raised in Hoquiam and attended schools in Hoquiam and Aberdeen.

After school, he worked in logging and construction. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, hound hunting and riding jet skis, and had passion for riding his motorcycle.

Surviving relatives include his mother Kristina M. Stearns (Shawn Baker) of Aberdeen; father Eddie Stearns (Carla) of Hoquiam; a daughter Kamryn Stearns of Ocean shores; brother Cole Stearns (Ashlee) of Elma; sister Chyanne Baker (Jon) of Aberdeen; and grandparents: Vicky and Kenny Stearns of Hoquiam, Jean Elliott of Ocean Shores and Frank and Cori Ferguson of Utah. The extended family includes four cousins: Bo Chapin (Natasha) of Aberdeen, Seth Stolen of Hoquiam, Tyler Stolen of Hoquiam and Chandler Boles of Hoquiam; and two aunts, Debra Chapin of Aberdeen and Valerie Stearns (Jeff) of Aberdeen.

A potluck celebration of life will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021, at the Cosmopolis Lions Club.
